this is the 'coffee and coffee accessory' police calling. I have noted a disturbing trend, fortunately you are not the originator. Still this shot brings my concerns to a point requiring 'a statement of position'.

Far too many of the C&C shots emphasize the camera; this is categorically wrong. It is an equal billing! Therefore obscuring highly interesting espresso and coffee cups is 'bad form' if this doesn't change shortly I will ask Jorge to institute a 'point system' to this thread then coffee paraphernalia will be given the respect it deserves.

Nice MP! I see the battery cover. You have to love the rewind knob. Remember, more film is ruined by static electricity using rewind cranks in cold weather than is ruined by lightning. Never happen to my M3 and M2, or your MP!

wow, haven't seen this thread in a while...so many new RFF users! Wonderful pix...Keep'em comin' , y'all! My GSN (and other 35mm gear) got some mildew from the hurricane water. Won't be shooting for a while....Hey, maybe my insurance company will pay for a Leica????? (something tells me: "Dream on...")
 
This was waiting in the mail when I got home. It's too late in the day for coffee, but here is the Olympus "Executive" 35 SP, complete with briefcase (as requested).

Thanks a million, Gman, for giving her a new lease in life.

And BTW, that was the first time I opened up bubble wrapping taped with masking tape. So much easier to open, I wonder why no one else (that I know) does it.
 
Gman is THE man. And to think, just last week that was a dusty, pathetic camera with a misaligned and dirty RF, and a shutter that wouldn't cock or fire, being sold for parts on ebay by an unscrupulous man, for a paltry sum that no one wanted to bid on.

Of course it was our duty to save her.;)

gman: Some other cameras of the era also showed EV scale in the viewfinder, such as the Minolta 7s. My Konica C35 does not shut off either ... I don know for sure, but I'm sure there were others with that "feature" as well. I'd prefer the SP have an off switch and show aperture & shutter speeds, but I can live with EV. If I worked with it more, it wouldn't seem strange at all. After all, understanding and using EVs was the most common method of setting exposure for a long time.
