A lovely morning here at Grey Owl. The big Lobsterfest is later today at the local hall, so we’re getting all geared up for the gastronomic mayhem.
I picked up my Norita yesterday from Douglas Banks after his stellar repair and service. I have a roll of Delta 100 in it right now so hopefully all will be okay. In the background is another Norita that was sold to me as a parts camera. After a bit of fiddling and cleaning wouldn’t you know it the darned thing works. So if Doug is willing to stomach another bit of torture I’ll see if he can perform a similar service on it.
Rounding out the ensemble here is one of my favourite light meters, the GE PR-1. A cup of President’s Choice Dark Roast in the mug and a copy of the Frontenac News for this morning’s reading. All in all a great way to start the weekend.

Good to see a D300 in use. Nice one. And BTW, thanks to you I'm now fairly addicted to lime-infused coffee...
(Added later) Very true. Apology from me for having confused your cocoa with another poster's lime.

Part of this area is called the “Land-O-Lakes” region because of, well, all the lakes! The Rideau Canal is also in the area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and will be celebrating its 200th anniversary in seven years.I had to look up Frontenac. Looks great there.

I didn’t know anything about these cameras prior to having purchased the first one. It is quite a nice camera and that 80/2 Noritar is highly regarded. We’ll see how this first roll does and - good news - Doug has agreed to work on the ‘parts’ camera. Happy days indeed. That's some heavy metal Vince!
