Camera and Coffee

These black "T" Yashicas are so nice looking. Great camera Andrew!

Thanks. I'm quite pleased with it. I don't know why I waited to long to buy one. It's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for: aperature priority, fast normal lens, black, smallish. I've gotta go get a battery for it so I can put it to use!

Cat and camera

No coffee, but my cat Obi to figure next to my "new" Nikon S2. I hope you don't mind. Luigi's cherry red wrist strap arrived today! Beautiful item and it smells wonderful.

I wondered what would work better, the strap at the left or the right lug. I chose left because it keeps my right hand free while walking around, while I don't need to change hands when I want to shoot.

Beautiful S2 and strap. They go well together.

Did you lay the camera down next to the cat, or did the cat come and lay down next to the camera (a la walking on the newspaper while it's being read)?

Thanks Julian. I hate it when they do that, newspapers and the PC's keyboard. Here, Obi was intrigued by the leather strap. Clawing and biting to kill it. I could just rescue the camera from falling from the table.

A few of my favourite things:

My 'new' Fed-2(e), Jupiter-8, coffee, Rangefinderforum.com hat, journal, sketchbook, fountain pen. Life is good!

very nice gene!
i can hear julie andrews in the background;)

Gene,

1. Did that swivel come with your Hakuba hand strap, or is that a shoulder strap?
2. I have been trying to figure out what pen that is from your teaser photo. It looks like a fine nib. Is that a Montblanc Meisterstuck?

Thanks Joe, I actually like Julie Andrews singing that song :)

Ray, it's a Lowepro shoulder strap. I prefer a hand strap for RF's but haven't had a chance to get one organized yet for the Fed.

Montblanc? I wish. It's an everyday Shaeffer user ... kinda the Bessa of fountain pens... you're right -- it's a fine nib. I write small.

gene, i saw the sound of music about 4 times in one day.
i was in university and a few of us skipped school, went to the movies. we were very high and just sat through all the daytime viewings of the show.

we did the same thing for 2001.
