Camera and Coffee

It was me. I recovered that poor, innocent, unsuspecting FED! And I'd do it again. Though not in that particular color. It was intended as a first try at cutting a new cover and I wanted something that would let me see my mis-cuts easily. Which the lavender stuff sure did. I then got distracted by other stuff and hadn't made a second attempt.
The skin is something called "Foamies" that I got from a local craft store. It feels great and comes in lots of colors and patterns. Trust me, I could have picked from several more obnoxious colors/plaids/paisleys/etc.

Well, if you have to do that, as least it was done to a FED 5. I still contend that whatever you do to those can't make them any uglier.

This marks my return to a Bessa R. Should have never sold the last one I owned...

In this photo it's wearing an Industar 61 L/D. Along with the R, I also acquired a CV 35/2.5 and CV 75/2.5.

After some time now trying out different rangefinders, I've come to the conclusion I'm an LTM and Bessa kind of photographer. My Leica M2 is beautiful and has been a fine experience, but when I get back from my travels in June, I intend to put the M2 and the gorgeous Hexanon 50/2 up on the RFF classifieds. I just don't need anything that high end. I'm more comfortable being a bottom-feeder, with my simple Bessa and a couple of Feds.

RayG's ex Hexar, endustry's ex Summicron 50 and my coffee. Alternatively that could have been a nice pile of money next to that cup. But then it would have been Cash and Coffee.
