Getting Ralph up here would be cool... (plus any other folks south of the border that may be interested)..

All the moderators away from their computers at one time? Yikes! What if someone starts an "I have an M9" thread? :D

Joe: Didn't realise you were allowed the real stuff; don't worry, I don't keep decaf in the house, so there won't be any mistakes!

I will send an email to Marc Jutras, see if he's still interested in being part of the community. I see from his website that he's still actively photographing, so at least we know he's still drawing in air!

Hey, isn't Marc Jutras in Montreal? I bet he could hook us up with some interesting photo opps.

Hello all!

I'm in Montreal indeed and I could certainly set up some pretty nice photo opps for you guys.

I could arrange to have at least one guide for abandoned factories and such. I can have models. If people want access to a kickass studio, I can rent one (we split the bill).

I just saw Victoria Day falls on the weekend from Friday May 18 to Monday 21, 2007. It's 2 weeks late for ClubSin and one week early for Inferno. I don't know if there's going to be a special fetish event for that weekend or if some celebrities will in town. If so, I could probably arrange something for those interested. If someone would like to shoot a real BDSM session in a private dungeon, let me know in advance so I can arrange it with the mistress. Same goes for shibari.

As for party ops... well... it's Montreal! I could arrange something at the club I work at for the Saturday night and Sunday if it's opened (long weekend). Just let me know what kind of joint or music you'd like. Note that I'm more familiar with the gothic scene but I know enough people in the club industry to find some nice places.

I'll try to find info on lodging possibilities. I know a guy from NJ who found a nice hotel that was pretty cheap and downtown.

For relatively cheap lodging, the Montreal Auberge de Jeunesse is in a very good location. It's an official Hostelling International (HI) Hostel and is open 24h, which is always a plus. There is a self-catering kitchen, which means you can save some money on food, too.

If you have an HI membership, and know what hostelling is all about, this looks like a good option. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can take a trip down there to scope it out.

Looks like we've got our date and place set. Joe, do you want to add them to the title of the thread? Doing so might catch the attention of those who have not yet joined the discussion.

That looks like $26 CA a night. Definitely an option. Would anyone else consider it?

Absolutely yes. I have a hard time paying big bucks for a room where you simply lie down, close your eyes, and sleep in.

If I didn't already live in Montreal, that's exactly where I would stay. I've hostelled a lot, so I'm comfortable with dorm rooms and (occasionally) creaky beds.

I'm going downtown at least once between now and Friday afternoon, so I will swing by and take a look. I will then return, and provide you all with my impression of the place.

is this thread missing a few days of posts?
what happened to the list of attendees?
joe

found it...you guys went to an old post - use the stickified thread, please.

If I snore, and I do, will I tick off others in a dorm room?
