I've seen that hat. Someone drowned a poor beaver. It was like, 50cents at a garage sale, right?FrankS said:(I'll be wearing a fuzzy brownish hat.)
FrankS said:Okay, I buried the drowned beaver hat in my back yard!
I'm pretty sure I've got a place to stay with Guy (grainhound) at a hostel, but I haven't heard from Guy in a while. I'll send a pm. Dave, where are you staying?
vladhed said:Bah! My plans have been officially scuttled. I live on a farm and the weather is finally suitable for planting - and since I am spending all of next week at InterOp conference, I've got to do all my planting this week-end.
Glad there is a still a crowd going, hope there will be another one in the near future (like July, when I'm just sitting watching stuff grow) 🙂

BJ Bignell said:Just a quick note: I'm working Friday, so won't be there to greet those of you who arrive in the afternoon.
However, in the evening we should get together. There's a little pub a few minutes from the Berri-UQAM Metro stop called "Le Cheval Blanc"; we can head there for a beer or two and then if you're interested, continue on to Passeport. I haven't been there on a Saturday night, but on Friday the music is good.
A note to everyone: Whenever it is you arrive, please give me a shout on the mobile phone at 514-999-5549. And, I would appreciate an email or a text message so that I have your phone numbers; this will make it easier to co-ordinate events!
The plan as it stands right now for Saturday morning is Marché Jean-Talon and Petite Italie (Metro orange line, stop Jean-Talon). This weekend is a special event, Les jardins en fête, so I expect that it'll be busy there. Afterwards, we'll see what people are into; maybe hit the old city (Vieux Montreal) or rue Ste-Catherine?

And it looks very nice.

Big clunky animals can be quite photogenic. As well as delicious...
