does it matter what lens goes on what body?

waiting on the mail for my second xe1 body to arrive...and thinking...i'll have 2 xe1 and one xe2 bodies...and does it matter what lens i use on the new body and which on the 2 older bodies?
i also have an xm1 body which will mostly be for when i want to use the flip screen..

Shouldn't as all X-series bodies and lenses are compatible (apps-c) apart from the X100/s/t.
I used the old XF35 f1.4 on my X-T10 until I got the XF35 f2 lens, the XF35 f1.4 was used on my X-Pro1 at first.

i know that they are compatible but i wondering about faster focusing bodies and lenses in combination...

For me the answer is simple. Due to the OVF on the XP1 i mount the 14 - 35 on the XP1 and the 56 or 60 on the XT1.
I your case - 4 bodies with 4 lenses - I would mount our for that moment most important lens on the EX-2, the least important lens on the XM-1 and the other two on the XE-1's.
For me that would translate to the 56 on the XE-2, the 23 and 16 on the EX-1's and the 23 on the xm-1, mainly to use for "stealth operations"

Since the xe2 has the fastest af and will soon c the new af improvements, I would mount the lens u intend to use the most on that body. I would mount your widest lens or the most compact on the xm and use an ovf as well.

i just posted an ad looking for an ovf...i think that was a pretty good suggestion...

The most recently released lenses and bodies will provide the quickest AF performance. When AF speed and low-light sensitivity is important, use these combinations.

The newer lenses have faster focusing motors and the newer bodies have more powerful CPUs. The CPU improvements mean more complex AF firmware is practical so improvements such as phase-detection AF . The newest bodies have more sensitive AF which translates to less hunting in low light.
