EUROMEET 2013, Prague, 18-19 May

Well, nineteen rolls with perhaps half a dozen alternative shots per picture seems a bit too much to inflict on the world. I had thought it was only eighteen rolls of 35mm, but the one in the M6 was nearly finished too. Plus a couple of rolls of 120.

I'd just like to wish all our colleagues and friends in Czech Republic lots of luck with the high water point this evening. The floods look as though they might be serious, but hopefully not as bad as 2002.

As the Flickr group is looking a bit empty, tomorrow I will post some of the stuff I've already processed, before finishing the whole lot as I'd planned. Is there anyone else who is holding back? don't be shy now . . . ;)

Cheers Martin, so far so good. Quite similar to 2002 just that the autorithies are better prepared. Metro will be closed from today 23h and at least tomorrow the whole day, no schools tomorrow, mobile baricades build all over town along the river etc.
However, the situation is much worse in other parts of the country, especialy south.

Regarding the Prague pictures: No I am not really holding back. Just finished developing the last roll yesterday, have two more rolls to scan... so, you can expect pictures from me by tomorrow night, I guess...

Regarding the flood: Good luck to you guys in Prague; I saw the pictures on TV last night, unbelievable that just two weeks ago we strolled down that river promenade... Dresden is flooding too, but the authorities expect it to be less severe than 2002...

Just saw some news photo of Prague and other cities that suffer from high water. They said some driftwood had to be removed from karls bridge to prevent damage.

Good luck that you stay dry and the damage is not too big.

I have just been to Palmovka, do you remember the small pub where we have beer outside while waiting for the exibition in Synagogue to open? Well, the pub is gone..

Unbelievable. Didn't even think it was that close to the river.
Here in Dresden they are expecting 8.50 m on Wednesday. I'm debating whether to go to the office tomorrow or stay home. Don't want to get stuck on the wrong side of the river when they close those bridges...

Enjoyed viewing the Prague photographs!

It looks like you covered a lot of ground, saw a lot of interesting sites and galleries, and had great weather during the visit.

Hope to see some additional photos added to the FlickR group.

Oh man...that shot of Cafe Louvre brings back nice memories. Last I was there was in 2008. Did you get to go to Cafe Reduta downstairs? It is a jazz club where Bill Clinton once played, I believe.

Really miss Prague. Must go there again.

RBullCZ, I would like to thank you for your list of places in Prague to go to. I had not been there for more than twenty years and was a bit overwhelmed by how touristy this beautiful city has become. Your recommendation for "Lokal" made me and my wife's day. Exactly the right place to be. So, thank you!

Maurits, you are welcome :) Glad it had been useful to someone.

Very nice photos, thank you everyone. And Lawrence: Glad to hear, that Bergger 400 Plus worked for you.
