Filters and Yashica GSN

I've never thought of this before but I have an orange filter I want to try out with my GSN. Is the metering through-the-lens? Do I need to compensate with the ASA?

I believe the MG 1 is the only Electro that has the meter placed so it would be affected by a filter.

the GX as well as the CC also have the ATL (above the lens) metering

I use a yellow filter for daytime BW photography. You would have to consider the filter factor and compensate via ASA adjustment. Check out yashica guy's website, he has a chart of filter factors and suggested ASA adjustments.
