Just skipped the waiting game and ordered my from Henry's Canada, which has them in stock. Same price. Just needed to pay via paypal through a confirmed address.
Time to go cancel my Adorama pre-order.

How long did they say it will take to get to US? I was quoted 1 week.

Not sure. They only offered Xpresspost shipping. Their website says "Guaranteed delivery times of 2 and 3 days between major centres in Canada and the U.S.A."
I may get it at the same time as I would have gotten the order from the US given the longer delivery, but I doubt it will get it later. At least I have reasonable certainity I'll have it by Easter.
I had called Adorama this morning and they "still hadn't heard anything" and "didn't know whether they would have them before Adorama closed for 10 days for Passover" (I would choose local options to support local camera stores, but saving 8.25% tax on such a large order is too much)
Of course, Murphy's law might apply here. If I wait, then delivery in the US drags out. Now that I ordered from Canada, they appear in the US tomorrow. (Maybe I'll leave the Adorama order and return whoever gets here last!)

Unfortunately that is correct; we still have no confirmed ETA from the manufacturer.

Just ordered mine w/ the 35mm from Henry's. Does anybody with experience know how long shipping typically takes from Canada (I'm in Colorado, if that helps)?
They say they ship U.S. Express. Had mine on pre-order from B&H since early February, but I have a trip in two weeks, and can't really risk getting stuck behind the closure they have coming up. Thanks...

Got mine in Australia yesterday
It looks like US is the last market to get stock? Why is that

Because Fuji loves us the best and saves us for last.

You may have been stuck behind a closure, but now you have a Canadian model. I'm glad you got your hands on an X-Pro1, I'm a bit jealous really,

The best camera is one that still works!
March the 20th was my birthday and nothing arrived in the mail from Fuji Australia ... I think they forgot!

This is true, but what fun is life without a little gambling? You may have been stuck behind a closure, but now you have a Canadian model. I'm glad you got your hands on an X-Pro1, I'm a bit jealous really, but you really don't want to deal with any warranty issues with an international purchase.

I had to contemplate this scenario when I bought a new Zeiss Ikon from Matsuiyastore in Japan. When I brough up a possible warranty issue he said provided I was comfortable returning the camera to him he would deal with any warranty problems that may arise. Though I supect not all sellers would be quite so helpful.
At the time a new Ikon was $1300 AU in Japan and up around two grand here .... so I took the gamble!

Yes, they worked out all the bugs before shipping the USA models.

The Canadian model will be very polite and friendly.
Servicing a warranty through Canada is much easier than Hong Kong although both are "international."
It stinks that Fuji has done such a poor job commmunicating. I would have stuck with my US preorder if I had some certainty that it was coming this week. I dont think B&H's March 28th date will hold, nor is there much hope for this week if Adorama hadnt heard anything as of today. What is frustrating is that there is available stock elsewhere in the world, but customers impatiently waiting in the US.
Ultimately it doesn't really matter to Fuji. They are making money if someone buys a Canadian version or a US version. It's unfortunate for US dealers when people go outside their home market, though.

it never bothered me, I've had to ship two Canon cameras back to the US for warranty issues and it all went well. Actually at times it felt better than dealing with Canon Australia to be honest. As long as the vendor has earned my confidence I dont care where he and the warranty are located.

I feel the same way. I sold off most of my old gear in advance of moving to the X-Pro1 (in retrospect, maybe not the best move), because I was confident the order would be met before my trip. But, with so little communication, I just can't take the risk. I've had mine pre-ordered through B&H for quite sometime...enough to see the expected availability date bounce from March 20-March 8- March 28. Now, on the eve of that date, there's still no word, so I just decided to go out and find one instead of waiting for them to show up here.It stinks that Fuji has done such a poor job commmunicating. Now, I'll just wait impatiently for the postal system to get it to me.
