If you can stand the wait - the Camera Swap Meet on April 29 at the Cameron Recreational Center at Lougheed Mall would be a good place. Usually some dark room stuff (tanks, reels, trays. timers and the occasional enlarger) - prices depends a bit on the sellers optimism or inflated sense of value.
Craigs List is another good source as proposed. Decide in advance what you need and go prepared - at least to the swap meet - cash talks. Settle in your mind what you are looking for. Paterson tanks /reels or stainless tanks and reels. What size containers etc. Do a shopping list in advance.
Some sellers dont even bother bringing in darkroom equipment as it can be bulky and heavy - but ask around and see what they have stashed away at home.
If you are looking for complete darkrooms (enlarger etc) go to the swap by car - trying to negotiate public transit with an enlarger is a bit of a chore.
This swap is one of the bigger on the West Coast (120+ tables) - lots of "junque" - but also some good deals. Arrive early 9-830 am as stuff like darkroom equipment can go fast - or linger for the whole day - you never know.
One good thing with darkroom stuff is that it is pretty standardized and has been for decades. Once you get it - it will outlast any camera (and even people).
If you are looking for enlargers, be sure that they come with negative carriers, lens and that the bulbs are still available.
See you there.
