A couple of them are actually excellent, i think. The moving rock one and the bus and the red doors I really like, though I think he is saturating the crap out of his scans.
Me too. He uses Velvia 50, almost exclusively.
This is why I favor negative film over slides, in my case I prefer Portra NC.
He approaches it from a resolution challenge, how sharp, and how crisp can he push it. Ken needs to discover grain IMO.

I think 3200TMAX would short circuit something in his noggin.
I take Ken for what he is: opinionated and entertaining in doses. Usually you can laugh your way through the smirky humor in a review and get the real poop on a camera or system.

I'm impressed by the sheer ugliness of spirit these threads seem to bring out.
OTOH I love the almost childlike enjoyment Mr Rockwell gets out of his cameras, and I've enjoyed many of his articles, even if I may not agree with everything he writes.

I've used his site for reading up on gear more than a few times. I don't think anyone should bash his pics or him. He's doing what he likes and obviously what pays his bills so good luck to him. I've always thought he saturates colour too much for my taste but that's what HE likes so that's that. I like some of these.

More people read Ken's site than some dare admit, he is provocative often granted but at least he's got an opinion and he's not afraid to change it either as we see in his turnaround to chiefly using film again and his "born again" Leica experience despite laughing at all things Leica in times past - Mind his opinions (IMHO) regarding the M8 and the R series are wrong.
I've corresponded with Ken several times in the past by email and have found him to be very helpful, polite & good natured. Love him or hate him, the one thing he does do though is get people talking about his site and his opinions.
