some other posts made me think that maybe we needed to be honest..and have a group hug....

I'll start.

"Hello, my name is Richard. I just recently spent about 200 dollars for a halfcase for my Leica M3 because it was so pretty. I have not bought any new camera equipment for over 2 weeks now..."

Next?

I quit already.

But I bought a Canonet this morning! 🙂

Well, it's for a friend...

And then, I placed a bid on some film.

Well, it's for a friend too!

And his name is... Francisco.

Mind you, the camera... that one really, and I mean REALLY is for a good friend. Ha! 🙂

Hi, my name is ....um, Todd ...and ...um, I.....I'm actually satisfied with what I have right now. (Gasp!!! from the group)

I know it'll never last cause the 35/2 summicron I have needs to be a stop faster, say f1.4 summiluxish.......and the 50/2 sure would reach out a little more if it said 90/2 on it......and I was always partial to that nifty little Leicavit winder.......after seeing Richards M3 case I just know that Luigi has one waiting for me and .....and ..........a n d...

Todd

Hello my name is Peter Chou and I am trying very hard not to buy any photography related items at least till Christmas. I have just bought a Voigtlander PII after much bargaining with my wife. I will have to think of something to tell her at the end of the year!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! 😱 😱 😱 😱 😱 I can say the earlier statement but the latter!?

Hello, my name is rover. I hadn't bought a camera in a long time, and I was looking, not to buy though, but I was too picky and it was getting frustrating. And I just couldn't let a good price slip away, so I bought an.................................R2.

Picked a bad month for this: Minolta 7sII, three Canonet QL17 GIII's, Yashica GSN, and Canonet 28. All but the Minolta bought needing repair from Rob, all working now just waiting for me to put in new seals. After I get the #@#!#@! AR ring put back on the Canon 7! Advance-Lock-Rewind works until the collar is put on! I will be popping the top to see what it hangs up on! Should not be a big deal, just frustrating after getting the broken prism mended, frame lines working, VF cleaned, and RF working and calibrated!

Hello, my Name is Brian. If I am going to change the image of compulsive camera buyers, I must first change myself. I will not buy anymore cameras made in Grand Fenwick, so help me, on my honor, or let my last Mercury PX625 battery go dead.

PS Look for some good deals on a Canonet after I test them with film!

Hello my name is Gerold,
AND NO I DON'T NEED AN M7 - I DON'T NEED AN M7 - I DON'T NEED AN M7. No - No - Noooo!!

I need a beer and a day off.

And it's been good to talk about it anyway.

Hi, my name is Curt, and I won't buy any more cameras till I use all the ones I have at least once. I'll just buy lenses instead, ha ha hee hee ho ho. If a fool and his money are soon parted, I won't have any money till 2054 or so.

I was a bad bad boy. Actually I found one that someone wanted to try, but never did. Still in the box, strap still in it's bag. The seller bought a digital at the same time and never gave the poor girl a chance.

Yes, I am a two Bessa man now, and I still have my little stash to buy an R3 if I am so inclined when it is introduced.

I have been tooling around with the 40/2 CLE I picked up a little while ago that I previously didn't have a body for.

Vacation next week, R with the 21 and R2 with the 40.

and, I am going to lunch in Hartford Thursday. There is a real camera shop in Hartford, a Leica dealer.

Hello, my name is Gene and I thought I was going to go all digital. I really do love my DSLR and have some great lenses for it and use it a lot, BUT ... what is the old expression -- "Dance with the one that brung ya"

After 40 years of shooting with manual cams, I just can't turn my back on film and RF's. I thought I had all the RF's I needed ... BUT

Now I have a Canonet QIII 17 on the way and am sniffing at a Konica S3. I hold this forum responsible!! 🙄

Gene

P.S. Repeating over and over: "I am NOT a collector, I am NOT a collector"

Gosh, you guys are pathetic! With 2 cameras and 5 lenses in total, I don't need anything else!

Well...maybe a Leica M4, or MP when noise is paramount isssue...a 24mm Tilt-Shift lens would be nice too for architectural shots...and I'm sure 35/1.2 will be useful in some situations....and maybe a couple of monobloc flashes for mini-studio work....a n d

😀

Well my b'day is in october...

let's see if before that date I can convince myself that I don't need a Leica CL !!! 😡

And in case I can't... like D'artagnan said just before entering Milady's bedroom... sweet sacrifice ! 😀

Somebody stop me .......

Somebody stop me .......

Hello, my name is Harold .... (puffs on cigarette) ..... and I'm a RF-a-holic. (cough, cough)
It all started with a really sweet Canonet 17 GLIII ..... (sweating) ... then I saw a really sweet Ricoh 500G .... (hands shaking). Now in the last month I bought a Yashica GT, ... (moans) ... a Konica G2 ........ (whimpers) and now (voice cracking) .......... another black beauty Yashica GT Gold Mechanica complete Kit with Tele-Wide lenses!!!
Please help me !!! 😛
