My guess is that the young lady is a fairly experienced Leica user, possibly feigning "cute" ignorance for the benefit of the guy making the video.

IMHO not Leica, she had to search for the shutter release, to me she looks like somebody who knows cameras with manual filmadvance but not necessary Leica and/or rangefinders.
OTOH, the way she focused doesn't look like somebody who is used to manual SLRs. They use two fingers mostly.

For most of the members here, Leicas are fashion accessories, but perhaps most of them are in a little more advanced state of denial about it.

They don't need Leicas, they just serve to reinforce their self-images as non-conformists, disdainful "superior" photographers (who take many cat, bum and "test" photos), baffled cognoscenti, and what-have-you.

Could you point out some of them?

Holy sh*t ... I spotted Magus's post before I went to bed last night and detected a wiff of smoke straight away!

I get up to see eighty something resposes. Firstly I thought you would have had more sense dear Magus than to start a war beween the misogynists and the new age guys ... perhaps you did it deliberately, after all, you do have a wicked sense of humour?

My wife is blonde. She's a bit sensitive about blonde jokes. I am a little too... but I ain't blond.

As for the "hilarious" part... just think of the first time you handled something new.

The video is kinda cute, though.

whenever I tell a blonde joke and my wife pipes up with "hey, I am blonde" I tell her that's ok, I will tell the joke real slooooow🙄

Oh, I just don't think some members would be comfortable being compared to a troll, and might take offence.

But how could ANYONE take offence to being compared to a strong dog that has been bred bite other dogs and to not know when to let go.
