Lately I seem to use my canonet more than anything, but I also use my Nikon FE and D70 depending on the situation. I use my Holga too for fun stuff. I own a few more though that are just collecting dust.

Only have 3:

  1. Panasonic FX01 P&S (use very rarely).
  2. Zeiss Ikon
  3. Canon 5D
Currently shooting pretty evenly between the ZI and 5D.

If I could afford an M8 I think I would get rid of 2&3.

Like Raid, I enjoy using a variety of equipment and lenses; as a former mechanical engineer I like mechanisms and staying familiar with the character of the gear. Much of the time the lens I want to use influences the body choice. There are about a dozen cameras I use regularly, others more occasionally.

Among the regulars are Pentaxes in pairs: LX, MZ-3, 645NII, 67II
The regular RFs also run in pairs; if one's good, two's better, right? Bronica RF645, Minolta CLE, Contax G2, then the M8 went on a recent trip as an experiment, and I'm getting familiar with the Nikon S3.

Doug:

I'm impressed! I generally use two type cameras consistently. I do medium format and 35 mm. My medium format camera at present is my SL66 and my 35 mm is my M6. I had loaned my daughter my old Nikon FE for her photography course, and while demonstrating it to her remembered how much I had enjoyed using it. I visited Chanticleer Gardens today and took the Nikon instead of the Leica. It was definitely the right choice. So to qualify my response somewhat, I find myself using two cameras consistently, although they may not be the same ones. ;) I guess I'm agreeing with you! I have three medium format cameras, all are 6X6 and a variety( about 8 fixed lens rangefinders and three slr's) of 35MM cameras accumulated over about 45 years. :D

After selling the RF cameras I am down to 2. The Nikon 8008s for it's fast AF, wonderful viewfinder, and accurate meter. The R5 for it's lenses.

Mostly 3-5... :)

Mostly 3-5... :)

Although I've been into photography for more than 25 years, I discovered my love for the Leica M only some six month ago and already my everyday bag holds a M3 with Summicron 50 col. , a M6 Classic with Summicron 50 and a M4-P with CV 21mm... I took them all (Leica cameras & lenses) to Solms for a thorough CLA last month and now they are perfect! The M3 & M6 are usually loaded with XP2. The collapsible Summicron is "a bit soft" and used for portraits and "old look" pictures most of the time and the M4-P with color print/slide film.
That bag also holds CV 12, 15 & 75mm lenses, a Summicron 90 and an Elmar 135/4.
A bit on the heavy side but always with me. Love them all...

My second bag holds a 1937 Rolleiflex Automat and a Pentax K10D with Sigma 17-70 and some manual Pentax lenses like the K50 1.2, an 85 1.8 and a Metz 32 MZ3 flash. This bag comes along whenever I feel like doing 6x6 or digital; usage is about 10 to 1 in favor of the everyday bag.

Oh, I nearly forgot the tiny Pentax M30 digicam I always carry in some shirt/jacket pocket...

Those are the ones I use nearly every day; my Pentax LX, Pentax MX and two Pentax Me Super see some use once every month or two...

Greets from Cologne...
Cheers, Michael

PS: Yes, I know I'm crazy... :rolleyes: But I don't just fondle those cameras; I take pictures too...
PPS: I'm still sort of trying to find my walkaround lens/es. I think I'll be roaming the streets with a 21 & 50 if I really want to travel lite and while scouting the city. I'll take notes of which lenses/film would suit my "objects of desire" most and just return later/next day with everything I need...

I regret that I am now more and more photographing digital. That means that a whole bunch of cameras are not being used. For the time being my 'camera utilisation situation' is like this;

1Ds III - 40% - increasing.
M8 - 40% - increasing.
Zeiss Ikon, Leica MP, Hasselblad 905SWC - 20% - declining...

I also have an excellent Hasselblad 203 with excellent optics lying about. And an Archbody. But my spare time is limited....

I reckon (unless I've mis-counted) 16 cameras.

My main users are;

Nikon D80 with 20mm & 50mm primes plus a Tamron 17-50
Minolta CLE is my RF with CV25/4p & Rokkor 40mm
Konica Hexar Silver

I carry a camera daily and that's usually one of a number of compacts. Usual choice is either XA, Contax T2 or Canon G7.
Others are;
Pentax Espio Mini
Oly Mju-II
Oly Trip 35 (x2)
Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (x2)
Fuji F30 - usually my wifes choice.
Fuji DL Mini Super
Nikon 35Ti

I'm currently 'thinning out' my collection with the last two the 35Ti & DL Super and one of the Trips up for sale. Anyone here want first dibs before i advertise them feel free to contact me.

Oops, I forgot I just won an E-420, so add that one too!

I had two which I regularly used, a kiev 4 and a nikon fe, but they both broke. Now I have one, a bessa r. Fair trade I'd say, though I miss the kiev 4.

out of my 8 cameras i've got 5 users - my Bessa R2A which is my 'safe' RF, my Zorki 4k for a bit of fun, my FED2 that is currently undergoing light leak investigation, my Nikon D200 for digital capture around these parts and my partner's D40 for a backup digi and to take abroad.

what's left is my Minolta Dynax 5 SLR that doesn't see the light of day these days, my grandfather's Practika Nova II with a broken shutter mechanism and my crappy old SLR that is dim and useles but i keep it because it was my first camera, given to me by my grandfather (he who is responsible for my love of photography)

3 to 5
Nikon F3, F90X, F100 in 35mm, Pentax 6X7 in mf and Sinar Norma 13X18cm in LF
Actually I have a Canon P&S for UW photography but it gets very little use.
Kind regards

I think I have like 8 cameras and I use all of them. I try to cycle through, so the experience of shooting is always a little different & feels fresh. if I don't use one for six months, I sell it. But I think I'm pretty set now.
