How Many Pixels? for Medium Format?

I have had 6 drum scanners and this one had smallest register error. I have at flickr Copex Rapid sample but shutter time 1/60 blurred result thus Digibase sample. Sigma was ASA400 to keep short shutter - different light. Field of view:

Thanks for sharing those images. Now I'm curious - how large were the two original images in pixel dimensions if you don't mind? I assume the 690 scan was reduced to make the one-to-one comparison? By the looks of your original image (the closeups of the signage) the Sigma is sharper but with digital noise and the (resized?) 690 is smoother but with less sharpness.

Digibase is 6737 × 4537:

I routinely scan 6x9 with a V550. I suggest you send your unit in for repair - it looks off, way out of focus.

You can get way, way better results on 6x9 from an Epson flatbed.

Do you have an example scan to share? ColSebastianMoran's result looks about right for an Epson flatbed to me.

Apologies, I've just seen your reply only by chance - guess I was expecting to be automatically notified following my own previous comment above.

Here's a resized scan from my V550. I do have a 3200dpi scan at home but would have to look for it. Hope the smaller sample below can give an initial idea.

The scan was processed as follows from the negative

-scan in Vuescan as raw 16bit positive, inversion in external program
-crop
-adjust black point
-resize

Technical camera data

Agfa Record II 6x9 folding camera
Agfa Apotar 105mm f/4.5 triplet design

Thanks for sharing your scan. It does look great! It's hard to tell if there is a significant difference in sharpness as the sizes of the two images are different, one is black and white, etc but it looks like you're getting all the V550 has to offer here. Very nice.
