you're not crazy, just an uncommitted camera 'whore', nothing wrong with it, just embrace it and get yourself a R-D1(s) ... we need more R-D1s up here in the great white north... make sure you resell it to another Canadian when you're done..

i agree with B2. if i hadn't just weakened and gotten the SA 21/3.4 i've been lust after for so long, i would have jumped on your 25. i think i actually prefer it to the 21/28 ZM for it's unique draw. keep it a while longer!
OT, but do you use the SA on your R-D1? Isn't there an issue with the projecting rear element?

i've not received mine yet, but i tried one out in a store and it works just fine. deepwhite from this forum uses one on his R-D1 as well as a few flickr members of well-repute. there are also quite a few people using it happily on their M8s.
you obviously need to be careful when mounting it in the R-D1 (not that i was in the store

Joe,
I think you'll enjoy it and as others have said, if you don't like it you'll probably be able to recover your money. You only live once, JFDI

holy crap! i think i'll put that in my sig...or maybe my epitaph!!
the 25 has been sold, i have the 21/35/50 now.
i can either order the 85/4 zm lens and have $$ left over or get an rd1 or get the wide angle zoom for the g1.
i do seem to come back to the rd1 though.

get the R-D1 - I wish I could afford it, Severes-Babylon a local Torontonian has two and I know he won't part with them... the 85/4 is too specilaized a lens especially on a cropped body... to useful except on the odd occasion...
Just do it!

Good on ya, Joe! It's a fantastic camera that (to me) feels better in the hand than the M8. As many here have mentioned already, go for it...
BTW, I noticed that you had a 25mm lens for sale here recently - that would have been a nice ~38mm fov on that body I think.

my timing on selling the 25 wasn't too good, i know, but i think the 21 will be good too. (= a 32?)
i'm still waiting to hear back from popflash.

joe, if the funds come together for you, i'll join the choir and say try the R-D1. i did so myself. ended up selling it, but that's not the point. life with RFs isn't quite as full without trying one.

mike, i have the cash on hand and pulled the trigger on the rd1 but i have not yet heard back from popflash. they are usually pretty quick but i may have hit them at closing time.
if anything i might sell one of the g1s i have or maybe the r4a and wait for something wide and new for the g1.

Joe:
I had an RD-1 and liked it; it gave a very film-like response. There are some limitations that you should be aware of though:
1) short rf base-length (spotty accuracy with fast glass (50/1, 75/1.4, 90/2))
2) Noisy ISO 1600
3) Bessa-style build quality/mechanical durability
4) RF accuracy harder to user-adjust than M8
5) small LCD, by today's standards
6) 1.5 crop factor
I had lots of "keepers" from mine, but traded in/up to an M8. IQ on low ISO's is better for my purposes on the M8, but at the sizes I print not that much of an issue.
