Looks good. I am seriously thinking of paying for a good picture of me before I become completely decrepit. And a good one of my wife too, who cannot reflect photons properly through any lens I have.

The dimensions are 4x5"
Its amazing the amount of detail and depth this ancient technique produces!

I also did one at Rayko when they had a Valentines special for my Wife and Me. That image is also amazing. Can't put it on the internet as my wife needs to be selective about what she puts on the internet for professional reasons.

One day I will have the space to start doing this myself.

I saw someone doing this @ Heavy Rebel last year. Amazing he did the whole process right on the spot. I hope he comes back this year. BTW your shot looks cool.

Is the image you posted a scan or did you take a photograph of the tintype?

Also, how long was the exposure time? Did you have to sit still for 3-5 seconds?

No just a second ot two plus a full blast of the studio strobe behind a softbox very close to my face...

How goes your class?

Thanks for asking, not started yet.
The Paladium printing class starts on April 22nd.


Wanted to do the tintype class as well. But its not practical for me as I have no opportunity to actually shoot tintypes due to no space in our condo to do this. Unless I buy an old van and convert it to a mobile darkroom :angel:

Beautiful ..... We tried this for the first time last night and managed to get a few images to appear on the plates . Nothing that looked like this , something not quite right in our workflow ..... Hopefully we can get it sorted out .
