Latin, black Carribean, Kuna and many other ethnicities. Broken down PC, bustling Shopping, jungle, coastal areas. Man 2 months was not enough.

Tough one. Love to go to places I've never been like the Lofoten Isles, Iceland, Patagonia, Oz, New Zealand, india, the Himalayas and Japan. I'd like to go back to Namibia, western Canada, Utah/Colorado/Arizona, Paris, Rome, Prague, Moscow and the west Highlands.

Vietnam was a great trip and a few years ago, I think I would be up for south east Asia again, maybe pick any one or two of Thailand, Cambodia, Lao, the Philippines and Malaysia. There are African and South American countries on my list too, but I've been to Asia a lot on business over the last two years and feel the need to go back there for fun!
In actual fact my next vacation will be closer to home in the French Alps for a combo of bicycling and relaxing with family - no complaints there. It cries out for Rollei 35S in my pocket on the rides and Rolleiflex for landscapes in the evening. I might not be able to resist taking the M6 along though.

Latin, black Carribean, Kuna and many other ethnicities. Broken down PC canal district, abandoned high rise district on the west point, bustling Shopping, jungle, coastal areas. Man 2 months was not enough. I spent part if winter '09/10 there and would love to go back for a photo trip alone.

I`m going to the old York tomorrow but the new one looks pretty good from what I`ve seen here.

I'd tour a number of European capitals and the capitals of former colonies.
To document the difference in wealth and poverty in the streets.
Netherlands vs South Africa and Indonesia
France vs Chad, Gabon, Vietnam
Portugal vs Brazil, Macau
Germany vs Namibia, Ghana
England vs India, Egypt
Guess I need a bit more than two weeks though...

Presumably "Kylie Minogue's dressing room" isn't quite what you were after, so I'll say the Austrian Alps.

West Marin County in Norther California, focused on Pt Reyes. It's close by, but I rarely can get up there. Two weeks there with a camera would be bliss.

One for Paris please ... that's Paris in France not the one in Texas, Barcelona would be a second choice.

Last year I spent 3 weeks in India and Bhutan. I would not hesitate to do it again. The colors, sounds, and people made it an unforgettable journey. The week after I got back I was trying to figure out a way to get back over.

I have no desire to see pretty things right now. I think somewhere like Afghanistan, Darfur or Libya would be good for me. Somewhere nasty, gritty and with people suffering. I'm tired of people complaining about their taxes and where to hold the summer music fest like it's the end of the world. I need to see real pain to bring myself some perspective. Maybe I could help them out.
EDIT: Wow. I just realized while I'm really cynical after the last 4 years in a newsroom, I still have that "bleeding heart" attitude that led me to photography and writing in the first place. Sorry if I'm being a downer with my reply
.
BTW, anybody got $1,600 for me to fly from JFK to Islamabad (14 hour layover in Dubai both ways)?

I've wandered far and wide internationally and there are many locations that I'd like to go back to, this time with a camera.
An exotic international location to photograph?
I lived in the Los Angeles area for about 8 years back in the 90's; before I was into photography.
Yep, its all been done before and beaten to death for good measure. But if choosing a location to photograph is the question then LA is my answer.
