Is there a 1:1 35mm accessory viewfinder like the 1:1 leica 5cm sbooi

The SBLOO would need to be pretty large to be 1:1.

The Topcor 35mm finder mentioned earlier is the only one. It is huuuge -- bigger than the Topcor 35mm lens that it goes with. It has 50mm and 35mm reflected frames, plus enough room around the 35 frame to serve as a quick-and-dirty 28mm finder. It's a trip to use, but it's very easy to misalign your eye and lose part of the brightline frame.

I believe the classic Voigtlaender Kontur VF was available with 35mm brightline and, yes, I know the 50mm version is confusingly labelled. Anyway, Kontur is 1:1 by definition.

I've never seen a 35mm Kontur finder. It would have had to be rather large. I think they only built them with varying frame masks for normal lenses on 35mm film and 6x6.
 
I have my eyes on a 35 3.5 Summaron and I am thinking of getting a SBLOO, but it just seems so ridiculous that the accessory finder costs almost as much or even as much as a Leica Screw Mount camera!

Very close to 1:1, almost to the point to be irrelevant, unless there is something wrong with my right eye

LCSmith, Summaron and SBOOO looks good together 🙂

Agree with Kontur. Its a weird viewfinder but yeah 1:1 by nature (it doesn't have a magnifier lens).

Also, I think Voigtlander Turnit is quite close to 1:1 if I remember correctly.

I also have a kind of phobia about optical view finders that attach to the hotshoe. I was shooting street in Philadelphia and my SBKOO slipped out and landed on the cold hard pavement of that dirty city, breaking the glass and rendering it unusable. Does the SBLOO stay in place?

Cut a piece of paper or very thin felt to the same dimensions as your attached VF baseplate. Slide it in (along with the OVF) into the shoe. There should be a small amount of resistance when inserting the pair, but don't force it. You may need to increase/decrease thickness to get that "perfect" tight fit.

Result: OVF will not slide out of shoe.

Pretty much. At least mine has a tight fit, almost to the point to be annoying.

All of my Leica bright line viewfinders I have got a tight fit (28,35,50,90 and 135).

I like mine very much, but agree it is a steep price. I got mine as part of a deal, so not as expensive. Won't sell mine even for $300 🙂 That's how much I like it. Pretty useful on the Bessa T.
