I've read about doing this a few times now and finally made my own 135 film canister adapters for use in my Hasselblad. It's just for fun and something different, but it is fun for sure.

I cut off the ends of a 120 spool and cut and filed until they fit into the 135 canister. Took about one hour while watching the tele.

Today I threw in a very expired roll of Fuji Superia C-41 film for a test drive. The colours are waaaaay off, but it's a testing so it doesn't matter. The results were excellent! The image actually goes to the edges but I taped it down to the glass for scanning since my 135 holder will cover the sprocket holes.

It's a lot of fun, you guys should try this. I'll be doing black and white film next. And I'll be trying to do this with the Rollei and Mamiya C330 also in the coming weeks.

Could you explain this, please? Maybe a picture.

Thanks for the links, Jeff.

I may try something like this, but since I'm currently bulk rolling my film, I'll just load some onto the middle of a 120 spool by hand, and forgo the 135 film canister.

Frank, I'll get a picture up ASAP. But I bulk load my own too and that's a wonderful idea about throwing some on the reel without the end pieces needing to be cut. The biggest thing I found was all the film you lose at the beginning of the roll. On the 120 you have the paper taking up all the starting of the winding to shot number 1. With using 135 you don't have the paper so you lose a lot of film. I'm thinking of taping the beginning of the 135 to some 120 paper so I don't lose the film itself in that winding process.
