I'm assuming that's dirt cheap.
<10 US$/€ for the pair!
That's one obvious benefit of digital dominance; demand for some very nice film cameras has dropped considerably so prices have plummeted accordingly.

nice to find this thread with some info as i bought a BM-302 for 1€ at the fleamrket this afternoon. seems to work fine as well. I like that it fits in the jeans pocket but is not as tiny and fiddly as the mju-ii or the nikon af600 for example and has a bigger viewfinder than those two. can't wait to put some film through it.

Your thread bump actually put the Big Mini on my radar as well. Bought a BM-201 on Ebay on monday and it just arrived. Very speedy delivery from Germany; quite pleased...
It's a lovely little camera. Seems nicely built with well thought out features. Mine's the luxury model with the date back.

Just got mine yesterday as well. Was in very good condition. However I have to say that the build quality wasn't as good as I expected it to be, seems a little fragile to me. Oh well, it least it looks good

I'm a big fan of Konica in general, so this thread brings a smile to my face, and yet it's also causing GAS
I've also managed to track down all but 2 of the good compacts that I really want to try, the Nikon AF600 and these Konicas are the ones that so far elude me.

I did see a few other nice Konica compacts on Ebay, including a few other 201's. Surprisingly, they sell for more then you'd expect based on the specs. I read they were used by a well known Japanese photographer... you'd think that'd be obscure enough not to raise prices. Ah well.
Ming: Fragile... yes, it is a bit light and plasticky, but all seems made with good tolerances. Even though mine is a 1990 consumer compact camera, it works just fine and all mechanisms and features stil work like they should. I did a bit of research, and the most common failure point is the ribbon cable that connects the back to the body of the camera. Apart from that, I couldn't find any real issues. Then again, this might not be most well known camera

Ended up here through Google.
I have a Konica A4 and it's an interesting read this thread, but I still don't think I'm going to use it... The A4 lives with the Olympus Trip 35 and the Mju 80 zoom in a box, I think it likes it there...

Have you tried searching for Lite Touch AF rather than AF600? I had trouble finding a Pentax Riva Zoom 928 here in the USA until I tried IQZoom 928 instead.

I've so far avoided Ebay completely, I'm sure I could significantly shorten my search with it, but so far I've stumbled across everything in person, and it's a nice excuse to go somewhere new, wander round, take photos and keep on looking.
Plus there's the fact ebay could too easily see me end up with a whole load of parcels heading my way haha

Put mine up for trade. See if somebody's got something nice in return...

Also nice to see Konica placed a little nub on the strap to help push these tiny buttons.
I never noticed that! I always made sure I had a pen with me to push them if needed.

Sorry to resurrect the post.
My BM 301 has also the back lcd flex broken, I can see from the battery door.
therefore can’t see anything on LCD nor control Modes or flash.
I’ve found on Aliexpress the flat cable, but I’d like to know how to open the camera and change the flex before buying it.
Anyone has any help?
Thanks

You could ask the guy who runs ppprepairs.co.uk if he has a repair manual for it.

Curious if Konica intended that pin to be used just for the film rewind button. My other function buttons are impossible to press unless I use the pin or press hard on the rear door over the intended button.
Any owners out there care to comment on how the flash function and timer buttons react to a normal finger push for you?

I sold my MJU II soon after the first Big Mini test roll came back. The BM just renders a really compelling image and every dang frame was in focus, exactly where I intended. I've never had a compact deliver that level of AF consistency and I have shot nearly all of the usual suspects.
