Superb, Joe!
I love the subject and composition, but I am drawn especially toward the contrast in the image, great work as usual, well done!

Thanks Dave. Yes, I worked the toning and contrast in LR on this one, as I do with most images.

Winter series with the X2

Wow, Joe, that captures the cold well enough to make me wish for an early Spring! Nice!

The small size of the X1/X2 sure makes it nice when carrying it around in the cold, doesn't it? I keep mine in the Hassy bag and either use it as it was intended or use it as a light meter/Polaroid preview.
I could use another one just to keep in my other (small) Billingham bag. In my pocket!

Cheers, Dave. Yes the X1/X2 is great for ease of use and portability.
In this case, this was Christmas Eve and I went for a walk with my dad who never says, but I know probably gets frustrated when I schlep a camera I need to use on a tripod (especially the 4x5)...only because I need to take 20 minutes every time I set up and then I do it again at the next scenes (x 5-10)
These were all quick snaps handheld so we could keep moving in the cold. I do indeed like the results. I'm loving the (new to me) X2.

Still love the little X1:
(I give up... no longer can post a decent image. It turns out too small and too low invresolution.
)
But you get the idea... I think. The X1 is capable of more than I have gotten from it so far...now if I can only find time to figure how to post a decent bloody image with this different computer!

Ha! Yep, you were there and a fun time for sure!
This crappy small image I posted is why I don't post images here much. But I will never open a Flickr or other account just to post larger images on this one. Life is too short for that.
