Some nice ones there jky.

Thanks, John.

@jky: a nice photo, taken with a good camera (I have the x1 myself) but what really hits me here is a great landscape! I hope to see it personally one day...

Robert, give me a shout if that day comes and we'll grab some good grade A Alberta beef for dinner.

My purpose with the photo (Lake Louise) was to play with the camera's dynamic range. I had exposed for the sky and managed to pull out some decent detail in the shadows and highlights....

Thanks Dave & John.
The light was just too nice to pass up. Still enjoying the X2 but the slow shot to shot times sometimes kills me (but that's for another thread).
Thanks again,
Jc

Very nice photos in this thread. I'm particularly impressed with the (at least perceived) wide dynamic range of this camera.

Been too busy to post much this week.

We had visitors last week for a brief day and a half or so. My partner's sister and niece. Took them to Great America amusement park. I thought these photos were fun, if not always perfect quality-wise:

Visit with Pia and The Bomb

(Three minute video of the stills.)
All with the X2, of course. ;-)

Godfrey, that is cool...I like that dropbox idea.:D

Even more so, I love the results you are getting with the X2 as your style and composition are excellent!

Keep 'em coming...:)

Godfrey if that is your learning I don't know what can I expect for when you'll have learned the x2 :) It's more than excellent!

PS: did you always prepare it with LR ?
