Finally! I've been watching this thread and drooling over the all the gorgeous gear everyone has in their possession. Here is my contribution and my very first Leica: a black Leica M8 I acquired just a few weeks ago.
I was originally going for a film Leica--a chrome MP. Unfortunately the deal fell through and I lucked out with this M8 which was a steal of a deal. I couldn't say no and here I am. I look forward to contributing my photos and more to this forum.

I'll be d*mned, you are right! I haven't used it since its unfortunate close encounter with the concrete at an Indian airport. It needed repair and also a new cover, but apparently the repair guy overlooked this minor fact!
Ah well, gives me a reason to fondle it again

Love it but too expensive a lens to feel loose, think I will downgrade.... M6 is perfect, had Youxin remove the 75 and 135 framelines and I like it much better.
