Just got my 8 Element Summicron back from Youxin. Here's a little family photo.
Three of my favorites there. I wish I still had a 28. From the cap, I assume yours is the first version, which is what I had years ago.

Yep! Original finder in the original leather case. Have the round clamshell case for the 35/2 as well. And the goggles for the 50mm haha.

This just came into my life. User, brassed up but fully serviced and operational original black paint M4 with LHSA edition Leicavit MP. Sherry did the conversion so they can be a couple.
Could not pass up the deal.
Now I have M4BP, M5, and M4-P (plus IF). I think I am done.
No, really!
P.S. I just noticed the paint wear makes a built-in privacy screen for the serial number. Don't ask me "why people blur serial numbers?"

Thanks brennanphotoguy and Deardorff38.
It was right here on RFF. The seller posted it, I snatched right up. He put the ad on hold for me so probably many people didn't even see the post.
I gotta say that Leicavit MP is the icing on the cake. I guess my inner Jim Marshall was channeling me.

After trying all major iterations of M other than M4-2 and M7, this is where I am.

Nice kit Sug.
I had my eye on that M4 during it's brief listing.
Sure looks great.

Very nice.
You should put a 35mm pre-asph summilux on it with a bent hood to really channel your inner Jim.

Michael beat me to it...this M4 screams for a lux 35 pre ;-)

I keep looking at the M4BP .
I don`t know why because I have one sat on my desk.
Mine has a CV40SC on the front though and now I keep thinking of a lux 35 pre.
I admired Marshall too.
Lovely camera Sug ..

Yeah Pre-ASPH Lux will complete the package, but I hope my trusty Cron with 12504 hood will be Jim enough for now.
Here is something different. I think it will be living on my IF for the most part, but Super Angulon 21/4 just showed up so here you go.

... likes film again.
Very nice setup! I am eagerly anticipating the return of my M4 BP from DAG, it has spent quite some time there now to get the IXMOO film transport problem sorted out.
The 35 pre-ASPH Summilux. Super-Angulon (and Noctilux?) seem to be the holy grail of Leitz lenses.

Another. Just got my 8 element 35/2 serviced so I figured I'd start using it again. Finished a roll today with it, I'll probably develop it on my lunch break tomorrow and scan them in the evening.

Nice. Just as an aside, Jim also used the SA on his BP M4s. Although he used the f/3.4 version.
On the inside front cover of his book "Proof" there is a bag shot with I think 4 BP M4s, one has a 35mm pre-asph, another a 21mm SA. (I think the others are a 50mm cron and a 28mm elmarit, but I'm not sure)
