Yep, me too ... I shake like a Aussie opener these days 😉
Keith my local crickrt ground is an international ground, my county have been the 1st class champions twice in three years, as a member I have seen some cricketing greats and a real gent and caharcater I met a few years ago was shane warne and was lucky to have a pint with him afterwards, he was great fun, cocky in a good way, signed autographs etc, reminded me of Ian Botham in a lot of ways.............warne is no angle but I think hes a big miss to the team. I met Boon inthe late 1980's and again in the early 1990's, what a legend and had great banter, unfortunately a lot of starts these days are only concerned with agents and sponsorship deals
LOL ... that was quite a days cricket yesterday Stewart.
Quite sad the way half the crowd buggered off towards the end of the day. Cricket in this country seems to have gone beyond sport ... it appears that a lot of the crowd aren't there to watch a game, they're there to see their heroes give the opposition a bloody nose! There's a theory in Oz that to be captain of the Australian team is only one step down in importance from our PM.
It's embarrasing IMO.
I love the pictures. I grew up in Heaton Moor, Stockport and they remind me of watching Heaton Mersey CC play on Green Lane.
Michael get a tripod if you're beginning to be a bit wobbly...
