That's really me
Beware - M2's are addictive. You have been warned!!! First you get one for your 35, then suddenly you get this urge to have another one for the 50 so you dont have to change lenses and then one for the 90 ....... One day you will look upon this sea of M2's covering the table - and you then have to come up with various excuses for this insanity to your spouse!
Anybody every tried "but you don't understand....it was a really good deal!!" ?

My wife is a psychologist - she has been working with addicts in former times - she knows the thing behind EVERY excuse....

Frank, all spouses know these excuses. Usually they just sigh - but occasionally they are muttering "Nobody needs 15 M2's!". OK, I have the perfect excuse "I must test the M2 Rapidwinders on several cameras". It worked with the M4P/M6/MP's - should work with the M2's too. Still have to figure out the excuse for a bakers dozen of Nikon Rf's - I dont make winders or Softies for these - yet.

Oh, well, that is it! I can tell her - 'cause I get older, ya know - that I just can't remember that I bought a second one, ore even better: I hide them once in while and let her think, that I have lost one. Looking really, really sad shel wants to let me feel better and - when the new one arrives - I 'find' the lost one again...

I was reminded today why it is I really like working with the M2. I loaded up my OM4 with Fuji film and went out to find photo-ops. After about 1/2 hour I decided I had found the perfect scene. I set the OLY and pressed the shutter and nothing happened except that the mirror stuck, couldn't be the batteries they are just a week old. Came home and fiddled and yes one of the batteries was dead. This Never happens with the M2. I just load, shoot, unload and develop. No batteries, no need for spares just pre unadulterated fun and pleasure and wonderful photos.

Just saw this thread, im waiting for the post to get a M2 plus 50mm DR cron, this is after i had told myself i had to choose between my m6 and my m4-p just to be sensible, and keep it down to one camera. Now it looks like ive made my decision an even harder one!

Those little Summarons are great lenses, aren't they? I got mine from Helen and it's fantastic!

yup, maggie, I love that summaron. it makes my m2 pocketable and apart from no-light situations it makes for some very nice images.

Mr B looks good on your M2. Of course, the model is currently stretched out on the floor soaking up sunrays and ignoring photography.

That strap looks great, too. Where might I get one like it?
Tom, give Mr. B some extra scritchies from me, won't you? My Mr. B softee lives on my M8, as the M2 came with a very nice silver one, Loctite-ed into place.

Tom, I try to outsmart my family every time we get a new pet, naming them after heroes from art or music. This cat below is Koko, named after either the Charlie Parker or Duke Ellington tunes of the same name. We have a dog named Dizzy (as in Gillespie), plus two others who arrived via a rescue/adoption already named Otto (let's say Preminger) and Fritz (as in Fritz Lang). So, Mr. Barnack is quite at home here.

Thanks, Rob. Koko is GORGEOUS!!!

I think sometimes we should adopt cats view on life - upside down or severly twisted sideways. Who says life has to be looked upon straight lined. It would also quell any discussion about distorsion in lenses etc.
Koko looks great - and knows it!

Seriously though, wasn't it Antoni Gaudi when growing up saw that nothing in nature was straight and decided on a life of design based upon those principles he saw in nature?

良かったね!
Yeah, Fatdog is certainly not shy about his opinions!!
Years ago I solicited him for a job doing tube amp repair. I was treated to a rambling lecture about how he knows everyone wants to work on tube amps because - his words - "tube amps get the XXXXX," but that the money was in circuit boards.
He kinda freaked me out.
If you ever get a chance to check out the storage area in back, it's full of old Voxes and such.

Tom A., skewed or slanted view of the world works for me. Another benefit of having cats: unlike our dogs, our cats have never eaten my shoes.

Well, mine sure doesn't. Maybe it needs re-biasing.
