Raid, I would think that your GAS is easily cured. I see many more opportunities than I can take advantage of, in either RF of FD gear, which I use and enjoy.
I'd like a couple of lenses that I don't own, but am waiting for a good opportunity to buy. I'm primarily interested in 85-100mm range, because I have the normal and wides that I "need". I own a black/silver 100/3.5, and love the small size, but would like the extra stops of the 100/2. I'd also like to add both the chrome 85/1.8 (because of the converter, which I own) and the late black 85/1.5. The 2 I am interested in are large and heavy, but those factors don't reduce the desire to own them. I also own fast 50's, including, of course, the 50/0.95. When you want the speed, there is no other practical way, the options being out of sight, financially. I could never justify owning something like an M8 with the new Noctilex, or whatever it is... The old Canon's may not be as state of the art, but they certainly don't require outlay of over $10,000 to acquire, either.
The simplest way to settle down your GAS is by acquiring a copy of Peter's new book. It will be useful as a research tool, a wishbook, and a proud possession. The eventual set of 3 books will be a cornerstone in any Canon RF collection, just as a set of Lager's are needed by Leica fans.
If you got it, spend some, it'll help the economy, and possibly a few people who are hurting right now. Remember, our classifieds are a better bet than eBay....
