Really nice combination! I want to relater my black M8 as well but after your story about cameraleather I'm not sure to order from them. Thanks for sharing!

Nice! Ya'll sure got some weird snakes around HK--blue? (Just kidding)

You're probably OK, but I use regular acetone instead of nail polish remover to remove the adhesive. The latter has a little oil in for the ladies' nails.

Does the guy there make any other covering kits than Leica Ms?

I am sure he does as long as he has the template. You can email him @Aloysius Ng <ng.aloysius@gmail.com>

It's more like a faded dark blue tone. Nice!!!

I WILL NEVER ORDER From Cameraleather AGAIN! He is putting himself out of business with such FXXX up business practice.

I think it looks nice, I personally would like a dark gray Gator skin for the leica m9p chrome that I may have comiing down...

I prefer the leather to be on a snake. Many species are on the endangered list and the far East has an extremely poor conservation record, even worse than the rest of the world. People should not buy stuff of doubtful origin and you are lucky your packet slipped through customs. Import of uncertified animal products is forbidden in the USA and th Eu and many other countries. For good reason.
At least Cameraleather can be trusted to use "good" leather.

Funny that such judgmental comments regarding conservation can come from a European - have you wondered why there are no endangered species in Europe? Is it because they are already extinct back when Europeans were at the height of "civilization"?

Yes- I do wonder- as endangered species like the European Wolf are happily making a a comeback and evena railway project is blocked in our country because of habitat problems with the Golden Hamster. Just examples amongst others. I advise you to review for instance the Elephant poaching statistics around Chinese development projects in Africa, shark fishing an long net fishing in the Indian Ocean and many others.
Don't you follow the reports of the CITES conferences? I do.

Having a look at the following 2 lists

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_extinct_animals_of_Asia

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_extinct_animals_of_Europe

I don't think either regions of the world have a clean record. Citing certain selective examples does not make one a worse or less guilty culprit. Just because one did it in the past and now progressed to a more advanced state of remorse does not make them better than someone who's doing the bad thing now. All humans are guilty of exploitation.

My argument is similar to that in the carbon emission issue - it's like "first world" nations telling that "third world" nations not to pollute by using unclean energy (never mind that it is the exact practice that made first world nations so prosperous in the first place).

So your argument is : because you did it wrong we have the right to destroy what is left? Quite apart from the moral fallacy it it a good way to ensure that there will be no wealth left for anybody in the future.
