Hi guys. Does anyone know when and where the new version of the 35mm f/1.2 Nokton will be available? Price? I can only find the old version on eBay and CameraQuest, and they are listed for over $1000.
I am going to sell some gear and a painting by Francisco Toledo, so I wanted to get myself this lens. I've wanted it for a long time. Also, what's the minimum focusing distance for this lens?
If I can't find one, I'll probably get a 50mm 1.1 first. I am planning on getting both eventually anyway.

Thanks,
Rob

Cosina has yet to announce the price and time frame for the 35/1.2 V2.
Time will tell.

Thanks for the links Brian. I've had my eye on these two lenses for a long time, even before I got my M4. My 50mm Summicron is great, but there are times when I could really use a faster lens. I know there are other fast lenses around, but I'm looking for something that's sharp wide open, and these two seem to fit my needs perfectly.
Do you think the 50mm f/1.1 could replace my Summicron as an everyday lens, or should I keep the 'cron for when I don't need the 2 extra stops?

"Picked the wrong guy to ask about not keeping multiple 50s"

I would keep the Summicron. The Nokton 50/1.1 is quite good stopped down, but it is big and heavy. If you do not need the speed, grab the Summicron.

I can't wait for the new version of the 35/1.2 now that the M2 and Ultron are sold to free up funds! What is "early summer" anyway? 😉
