UK Region Northern Shooting Day

Hmm,

I just checked train times - from Liverpool I can get a train every 1/2 hour and it's about 1 hour to Manch. Getting from Wirral to Liverpool on a Sunday takes longer than that (and it's only 12 miles)!!

I'm either driving, or bribing the wife to take me to Lime Street...

A thought's occurred... how are a group of photographers going to be looked upon, in a train station? All that's needed is one power-crazed hi-vis wearing "official" to wander along... :(

An ideal photographic opportunity :D

The same thought occurred to me, but I refuse to be worried when we're doing nothing wrong.

And as peter says, it's an ideal photo opportunity, especially if he'd volunteer to put up a fight! ;)

Bob

May not be able to make Sat, local yob removed wiper blade and bent wiper arm, the arm was not in stock at local dealer so given the weather the traffic police might be interested. I need the car to get to Brum, as I'm 40 miles away.

Sat depends on local dealers parts supplier being quick.

All set for sunday, if I don't get lost trying to find cheap parking :D

Noel, it's a shame cars cannot legally be electrified to prevent toerags from messing with them.

Now listen up troops! Seems we have some competition on the day of our manouvres. According to this link

http://www.flickr.com/groups/manchesteruk/discuss/72157600860607313/

A group of renegade photographers from the Flickr army are are to invade Manchester on the same day.

Infromation recieved says they are likely to be carrying digital weapons with the intention of random shooting. We have an advantage though with our stealthy rangefinders. Prepare to seek and capture!

(Think I've been watching too many John Wayne films)

Ha! Their plastic cameras are no match for us.

Lets see how they like the tase of cold, hard steel (and brass and magnesium alloy and titanium...).

Remember - Don't shoot till you see the whites of their eyes. Unless you've got a 21mm biogon of course, you'd have probably walked into them by then. ;)

How's everyone else doing? :)

Unfortunately some problems at work, I am "on call" for the weekend, so I will know 100% only later tomorrow, if I make it I'll be on the same train as Noel 9:18 Brum New Street to get at 10.58 Manchester Piccadilly

Will a 12mm heliar do to trample them?

Bob

The parts people got the part Friday pm, but the roads was flooded, so I'll pickup the part on Sat am.
I'll be ok for Sunday.
Ian, I'll keep a look out for someone with a stereo pair of Leicas...
