Seems to be a few Leica III's turning up. I forward to checking them out and asking a few questions.
I never thought one would be for me (the viewfinder is tiny!) but having handled one for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I've gotta say they feel fantastic.

Anyone bringing a Leica M series? I'd really like to compare the feel to that of the older models.

That would spoil you rotton... So it is a fondlers paradise you are orging... At the London meeting most people had an M - it was the 2x RD1 that created the perception problems.

Just sold my M6 - going back to basics... But Vincent will no doubt still have his around somewhere.
I will have to make do with John's old VF101.

Tom,
Nice to know the Vf101 is still around - I do miss it.
Since Bob asked nicely, I will bring a M, but will it be the M3 or the MP, hmmm, let's see............

BOTH!
Although the M3 might be better for me. I'm not sure when I'm likely to be able to afford an MP

Have to say I too am interested in the M3. Been looking for a good buy but so far a tad out of reach. Got chance of a Minolta CLE with CV 40mm for £300 ($600USD) though which is tempting and more affordable. Shall I....shall I not..mmmm..decisions, decisions.

You could raise the money by selling me your Haxar at a knock-down price.

But let's be clear NEITHER is for sale, OK? I'm only selling my IIIa, gottit?
Incidentally, is anyone driving? I may be able to arrange free parking at work - if not I know where you can park for £1 to £1.50 all day, close to the centre.

I may drive in. I ususallly park close to Victoria, but somewhere cheaper would be nice.

I will probably drive down, or if its warm may go on the bike (are there any lockers at the train stations ?). Train might be less stress though.

I hope you have a good day and that you will be able to tear yourself away from The Real Camera Company. I hope to join you next time you meet in the north.

And nobody who spells "Hexar" wrong gets to buy one.
I quite want one as well, but an OM 21/3.5 is first on the list. Anybody got one..?

The Southern group met at about 10.30 I think.
How about if we met between 10.30 & 11.00am at Piccadilly train station?
I'm assuming most folk who will be coming in by train will be arriving there as opposed to Victoria station.
If anyone wants my mobile number, in case they're running late or get lost, just PM me.
Bob.
