Hey folks of NYC and the other loitering Aussie in the neighbourhood
I'll also be around and it would be great to meet y'all!
Would love to share some photo works with you but my camera won't be competing in the pageant, I mean, olympics, due to sports injuries.

K,
Welcome. I expect a rather big flash mob where more people I don't know than people I do at this point.

For the filter swappers;
I have a B+W 39mm 092 dark red filter for IR film. We tested it once with an M8 with interesting usable results. That was the only time I ever used it, so if anyone is interested, I can always use good UV filters in 39mm, 40mm, or 49mm. I'm also looking for a cheap Nikon lens, like a 50mm or something, basically a body cap with glass.

Christian,
I have to dig out my filter surplus. I think I have extra UV in 39mm. Likely B&W MRC.
As far as cheap Nikon lenses you can borrow my 55/2.8 Macro indefinitely until I need it back and the cost is free. It is a great normal lens if you don't need speed, and some PJ's use it as their normal lens because it is so sharp and flat fielded. If you want I also have extension tubes and slide copy adapter as well.

By the way, I have two developed rolls of 120 that I need to scan, anyone know where I can get this done cheaply or have a scanner I could access? I can pay in beer and/or film?
Edit: went to Bushwick community dark room and scanned em there!

Okay thanks, I liked your Sony with the Olympus lens on it. I think
Olympus has good glass, at the next meet I'll bring the 28mm I have
and we could see how that works.

J-M,
Jim and Randy have incited plans to set up some field events involving perhaps a Philly Meet-Up (our friends in Philly are many). Let's not make our friendships one sided.
Also how cool would it be to do say do an overnight visit to Baltimore as a shooting vacation as a small group.
Of course this would be when the weather is pleasant.
I think it was apparent to the new comers of how strong a support group we have and the great friendships we all enjoy. Most of all we create a safe place for everyone.

Very happy I finally made to a meet up. Had a great time and I really want to put some work together. Seeing Cal's prints and some others photo books has inspired me. Thanks for having me.

Thanks Cal, maybe we could meet somewhere or drop it off a my place
of work. It's a nice scarf, Baby-Dog would love it if he got his claws on it.
