other than the lens focusing the wrong way, i think i can handle it
i got the very last one at the place i bought it in sydney. surely other rff members got the others ...

I think I paid $879 for my new VC 35mm F1.2 (with hood) from Cameraquest a year or so ago... so the replacement is now 1.7 times the price of the mark I version?

Now to try and shoot it as well as you I wouldn't be surprised if there's a prototype S-mount version at the Cosina factory, Chris.
I'm so far behind on film developing and scanning its not funny, but pics coming soon!

Yep, I live in Japan but am currently at Sydney Airport waiting for my flight back there. I can post a few pics of the lens in 12 hours or so

Scott from Mainline has always looked after me, so no doubt this will be resolved.
No signs of football action on the package, and the lens was professionally packed. I do think that it is a case of QC (or just an early adopter's bad luck).

Looks a little shorter and not so fat. Not such a significant difference but noticeable.
Shame about the aperture issue. Hope Scott has some stock to replace it with. Tell him Kristian say's "hi"

Hung, might want to shoot a roll through that before sending it back. The early Pens had four blade apertures and bokeh is good.

That's pretty ironic considering the thread on QC.
Such a shame, i hope you get it replaced soon - i can't wait to see something from this lens. It's a serious contender for me...
