Official announcement of Nokton 35mm F1.2 II

Jonmanjiro, as the honorary first RFF member to acquire this lens it is now your responsibility to provide feedback and samples....that is, if you know how to work a non-Nikkor lens ;)

other than the lens focusing the wrong way, i think i can handle it :p

i got the very last one at the place i bought it in sydney. surely other rff members got the others ...

:D:D:D

would be nice to see side by side photo of v1 and 2. how big is the difference.

this Nikkor's only-man can even shoot with Canon dSLR (after few drinks, though) :D

this man knows what i'm like when i've had a few drinks :D

i'm going to borrow benny's v1 to compare with it. should have a side by side photo by saturday evening.

Camera quest has it for $1399 and $109 for the hood! Egad nice price hike... not leica price hike but damn, this lens better be better than the first!

Will there be a Nikon S version this time? That will be sweeeeeeet...

Jon, please show some pictures !

$1399 + $109 = $1508 !!

I think I paid $879 for my new VC 35mm F1.2 (with hood) from Cameraquest a year or so ago... so the replacement is now 1.7 times the price of the mark I version?

Simon, you know you're hugely responsible for making me lust after a 35/1.2 :p Now to try and shoot it as well as you

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a prototype S-mount version at the Cosina factory, Chris.

I'm so far behind on film developing and scanning its not funny, but pics coming soon!

Jon, you live in Japan right? You must have a digital camera!?! How about some quick pics of the lens. We've only ever seen 1 picture, c'mon mate!

Yep, I live in Japan but am currently at Sydney Airport waiting for my flight back there. I can post a few pics of the lens in 12 hours or so ;)

Well, got mine .... BUT..... I am a bit concerned about the build quality of the lens - have a look at the photos!!!

Will have to organize a replacement.

And for indication of how it looks on an M body and compared to a 50/1.4 pre-asph

That would certainly give some unusual bokeh ... bad luck Hung!

I gather it came from Mainline?

Scott from Mainline has always looked after me, so no doubt this will be resolved.

No signs of football action on the package, and the lens was professionally packed. I do think that it is a case of QC (or just an early adopter's bad luck).

Looks a little shorter and not so fat. Not such a significant difference but noticeable.

Shame about the aperture issue. Hope Scott has some stock to replace it with. Tell him Kristian say's "hi"

Hung, might want to shoot a roll through that before sending it back. The early Pens had four blade apertures and bokeh is good.

Interesting.

That's pretty ironic considering the thread on QC.

Such a shame, i hope you get it replaced soon - i can't wait to see something from this lens. It's a serious contender for me...

cheers
paul

I did take a few snaps, even with the damaged blades.
