You will recognize the events. Alaska and fishing there are scary. Spike writes very well. I think I will re-read it. The preface alone is worth the price and lays down the tone for Alaska and fishing there. It's all true. I hope you enjoy it. I suspect that you will.

I have vivid memories of climbing up metal masts 60 feet above the water to install a radio antenna or tune a radar whose guts were up high, in freezing cold weather with no safety equipment whatsoever. I suspect this book may bring more of that feeling back ;) For the record, many of the things that can kill you at sea can kill you in port just as easily.
