I have vivid memories of climbing up metal masts 60 feet above the water to install a radio antenna or tune a radar whose guts were up high, in freezing cold weather with no safety equipment whatsoever. I suspect this book may bring more of that feeling back For the record, many of the things that can kill you at sea can kill you in port just as easily.
