I have vivid memories of climbing up metal masts 60 feet above the water to install a radio antenna or tune a radar whose guts were up high, in freezing cold weather with no safety equipment whatsoever. I suspect this book may bring more of that feeling back 😉 For the record, many of the things that can kill you at sea can kill you in port just as easily.
