I just returned from an epic adventure to Bali & Sumbawa. It was mostly a surf trip, but there were a lot of other journeys along the way and I shot tons of photos. Just wanted to share with all of the other film/gear nerds out there. The cameras used were a GF670 for the medium format shots, and an FM3a & EOS 3 for 35mm. Lenses: Nikkor 18mm f3.5, 28mm f2.8, & 55mm f2.8. Canon 28mm f1.8, 50mm f1.2, 300mm f4, & 500mm f4. Film stocks: Acros, Neopan 400, Tri-x, Ektar (just one roll, most of the color photos are the e6 stuff), Velvia 50, & Provia 400x. Some technical observations: the most used camera was the FM3a. I just had it around my neck everywhere I went. I think I'll probably be buried with that camera. The EOS 3 worked just wonderful; it was mostly used for the telephoto stuff. And I really, really wish I would've shot more with the GF670, the photos that come out of that camera just blow me away. What a lens on that thing. Anyway, nerd out & enjoy!
