Perfect Travel Kit

My usual travel outfit is 2 M bodies, 15-28-50-135 but if going really minimum it's 1 M body, 21-35-90 and a Rollei 35S tucked away in case the M misbehaves.

Just came back from Northern Italy and only brought:
a) MP
b) 50mm Cron
c) Kodak 400UC
d) Point and Shoot digital (Leica C-LUX2)

All in a Crumpler 4 million dollar home, which I kept in a backpack through airports and what not. I am so glad I did not bring the 35mm, dSLR, etc. Miles of walking under the sun and fighting the crowds get tiring after a while. The point and shoot resided in a front pocket, and was great when I needed to have others take our pictures or for super quick snaps. Also works as a backup.

I thought the MP+50mm would be too limiting, but it wasn't. Loved the pictures and will carry the same gear again for next European vacation.

BTW, we did not bring the kids on this trip. With kids, I carry the dSLR (D80) as I am not fast enough with the rangefinder to keep up with active kids, and don't have long lenses for my MP.
