re: the "click" of an electro gt

hello all, i've been lurking for a while, but have question for you..

i've read all about the POD problem of the electros. the shutter on my GT would stick a bit when depressed, but pop up none the less. then when advancing the film, i'd hear the signature "click"...good good

then, in the middle of a roll, the shutter release stopped sticking and i stopped hearing the "click." essentially the camera acts like any other camera. smooth shutter release and quiet film advance....so i was nervous about the rest of the roll....no "click" = POD, right?

HOWEVER, all of the pictures came out just fine. now, i'm not one to complain about something working, but i'm curious if there's a reason for this. maybe i have too much "internet education  " on the subject, because in the middle of my trip to spain i stopped hearing the "click/thunk/thud/thwack/etc" and immediately thought, "POD, i'm ruined"

what say you?
cheers

I've had some that made no noise and despite that, the POD was okay. It might be on it's way, but until it's gone, be happy.

I shot a few rolls with a GSN without the click -- it was actually, as you note, a nice, quiet advance. But I found -- there's another thread here, somewhere -- that my auto was no longer working on timed shots or cable release shots (it always reverted to B, for some reason).

Is yours auto shuttering, still? Set your timer in low light and listen.

Both of my Yashicas make a very faint click when the shutter is released and kind of a thud or clunk when I advance the film.
