Ruben kidnapped by the aliens?

I hope he is well ... agree or dissagree with him his passion for photography and Kiev's especially is admirable! :)

There was some talk about a month ago, according to which the Russian forum was crawling with aliens... maybe this is the logical consecuence.

Well, a simple search for 'Ruben' revealed he's been busy the last several days on the TLR forum, at this thread. Looks like he's not been kidnapped by aliens, merely being a bit more selective of his friends. Or, whatever camera interests him is where he posts to.

I'll have to second that. His passion for the Kiev sometimes renders him over-sensitive to perceived criticism of them but I, for one, would miss his contributions. I understand that some posts are tongue-in-cheek but I really hope no-one would wish him harm.

Ah Come one, man! You are taking this internet thing too seriously (as, probably, 99% of internet posters. A pitty).

But really, why would someone wish harm to another internet user? We're all unreal characters. Nobody is for real in here... :)

I am terrified of all real men - long story - so as long as you all remain ethereal .. thats OK with me .

I used to be real.. it was so hard that I eventually give-up...
Rob.

come on it's written in any geography book that le pays Basque is far richer and dynamic than the rest of the region... and le Basque is taught at school ;) (fake national argument... since we're in the fake cameras sections :))

Ruben was an interesting person for sure . He was in fact quite helpful and encouraging at times. I usually enjoyed his posts but at times he would annoy some folks with his insistence that the Kievs were the best FSU cameras of all.
It`s always nice to read the reasons why folks happen to like a particular camera but the constant littany from Ruben that it was superior to all others became a point of contention causing a few responses that became heated and a bit overboard IMO.
Things have since settled down and that`s been good for all of us.

Isn't it strange that he hasn't posted to a thread with his name in the title? Hope he's okay.

As far as we know he is alive and well and was posting in the TLR forum just 5 days ago.
He just fixed his Rolleiflex 3.5F shutter release button by just damaging it a bit further (according to his own long explanations), so, yes, he is alive and well. The Aliens would at least have taught him how to fix a camera without adding new damage to already existing issues.

I thought The Aliens only used Nikon and Canon DSLRs. Why would they know how to fix a Rolleiflex? ;)
