As for smoothening your new Kiev, and after our experience with the Iskra, my main starting suggestion is that you purchase a parts box, as mentioned at the KSS. This will enable to separate and order the different screws and parts in a methodical way.

Russ mentions it, but I put here affirmation marks.

Fortunately our situation these days for engaging the Kievs have improved due to the steady presence of Highway61. I will take a secondary "translating" roll, if at all, and if necessary.
