"My question to you is: If you were on the market for an M6, would you rather buy the camera as-is for $900, or prefer to get it for CLA'd - but at a higher price ($1250 or so)."
In my experience, many private sellers are optimistic about the condition of the camera they are selling, so I factor in the cost of a CLA. Testing with usage can uncover problems that add to the cost of a CLA (high speeds off, erratic frame spacing, capping, etc.). If I do receive a camera in fully proper working order, I consider myself lucky, and the CLA funds can be set aside for future needs.
If it were me buying, I would definitely prefer the M6 CLA'd by Sherry Krauter option. Then I would know I was set.
