September: Month for Selling Equipment

Come to think of it, I've got a few things that might go:

- Jupiter-11 (135/4)
- Canon FD 135/2.5 S.C. - Very nice lens! But it looks like I'm not shooting anything over 100mm at present.
- Eventually a Bessa R if I get an R3A in the meantime

Sorry Ted, I've really fallen in love with that little lens, and I doubt I could bare to part with it anytime soon!

But yes, it is LTM.. :angel:

It's a great little lens. I love mine and can't imagine parting with it either. My Elmarit 135/2.8 on the other hand...

It seems that september will be a difficult month for me, therefore I might sell some gear :

- a Fed-5 type B with a Jupiter-12 35/2.8 (the lens will go for cheap as it might need some adjustment)

- might give up on a J8M

- eventually, a Flexaret III type A TLR, from 1948.

Darn, Raid, you are killing me. Not a good idea. There are at least five items so far that I want to buy, including your Minox 35 GT and C-Rex 180. And I'll be spending some time in FL in September, so shipping will be less of an issue... Darn.

I don't have a spare 85/2 Sonnar to sell, but I do have a spare 85/2 Nikkor in Contax mount. Having used both the Sonnar and the Nikkor, I have determined that the performance of the two lenses is pretty much identical. However, I usually end up using the Nikkor because it is more compact than the Sonnar (about 1/2" shorter and 1/2" thinner barrel diameter, weight is about the same).

The Canon 85mm/1.9 came out as sharp and contrasty as the Canon 85mm/1.8 in my tests.

Now we can all list what needs to go. I prefer keeping things to RF stuff or else we will have hundreds of SLR items here for sale. Most of us SLR users [in the past] still have tons of great equipment that can go. The way things are going so far I can see a great lens/camera sale and swap happening here.

Wayne: It was just a suggestion :) Of course you can post whatever you feel like doing. I also posted a Contarex lens for sale, but I stopped there with SLR equipment or I could fill a whole page with listings of SLR stuff that must go.

I would be interested in purchasing a Canon 50/1.5 or a re-shimmed J-3 that can focus accurately on a Bessa R, if anyone is willing to part with either of these lenses.

People will see equipment listed by persons they know online [and trust], and this may become a huge single-thread classified ad. If Joe takes part in his hunt for the third CL [since Joe has three lenses!!!!], then we must succeed.
