Thanks Erik. I do have such a case but not sure I could bring myself to butcher it; it does look good though!The case on this picture is a Leica II case with the nose removed.
The advantage of these cases is that they are slightly smaller than the very common Leica III cases. The Leica III cases provide room for the strap lugs of the camera. The original Leica II has no strap lugs, so their cases are smaller and do also fit the Leica I perfectly.
They are pretty rare, however.
