Leica LTM Show off your Leica I/II/III/LTM Camera

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
One of my IIIc cameras lounging in a Leitz New York load-out case. Haven't figured out what model case is.

Cool, rick....
I still want to get my hands on a leica reporter. Those are a bit too rare for me. Plus the problem of development of 250 rolls

Blake, there was a GG for sale in Belgium a couple of months ago. A steal at €3300, but pick up only. It was pretty heavily brassed though.

new to me: (shot with my iphone, sorry!). Function is good and the patina very lovely. Probably the camera had some revisions done in 1977. can't wait for the first film getting developed.

Thank you both. Mr. Scherpenborg in Nijmegen overhauled it c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y, the poor thing was soaked with oil.
It has no red curtains, no ball-bearings and no military markings, but it works like new and I am very happy. I've been looking for one for years.

Erik.

Congrats, what a beautiful example of this wartime camera. You could not ask for a better patina for this particular camera. IMHO It clearly points to the lack of raw materials from which Leica was forced into using. I find it odd that in the middle of the most destructive global war, a demand for non-military Leica cameras continued...

Thanks Mike :)

Not surprised your IIIc has no red curtains, Erik. By 1942 Leitz had run out of the red Kodak material. Both of mine from that year have black curtains, but still have a chrome finish though ;).
Photography wasn't forbidden in the occupied countries until late 1944 I believe. And then it was only forbidden to photograph things out in public. So I imagine the demand for civilian cameras was still quite high, despite most of the film stocks going directly to the military.
