Bravo chaps! Part of the problem for me is that I was trying to do this on an iPad.

Yes but  I can never get my browser (safari) to just select that bit of the code I get a whole paragraph which is hard to edit. I suppose when Flickr stop me doing it I will learn to change.
BTW your method appears to circumvent the "downloads disable by the owner" is that correct?
There is no browser out there (whichever it is) which will make all the job for you when it comes to copy and paste some complex html or BBCode paragraphs which must be edited so that all the useless stuff is removed !
This is why the good ol'Notepad is still useful... and why a genuine computer is still superior to a pad or a smartphone...

One of the strange : numbered Nikkor lenses. This is a 50mm f2.0. We discussed in Japan and came up with the theory that the guy running the engraving machine found himself close to lunch time - and rather having to change engraving die to #64xxxx he decided to save time and just run an extra 50 with the : on it instead.

Chris will tell about his feelings but here are mine (I have an S3 and some AR-1s too) :Chris How do you like the AR-1 on the S3 is it better shooting with it?
Range
- on the S3, the AR-1 doesn't bring out the same comfort add-on as it does on an F2 with any Photomic head (on the latter the AR-1 reduces the distance between the shutter release and the speeds dial, and really improves the global ergonomics of the camera).
- smoothly releasing the shutter is a breeze with the AR-1 and it does reduce the camera shake at slow speeds indeed
- the S3 is a small camera with a flat top cover and once on it, the AR-1 protrudes out of the camera lines a bit oddly
- the S3 is a small camera (bis) and as such, you generally want to store/carry it in a small camera bag with internal pouches offering a tight fit. With the AR-1 mounted, you will take a picture of your bag innards each time you will put the camera in the bag if the shutter is cocked...
At the end of the day : pros and cons 50-50.

Two weeks on I got back to the thread !!
I had an AR-1 that came attached to an F2 wih a plain prism, didn't get on with it. Then I picked up an AS head and it was immediately the answer.
I always use a TomA softie on the Leicas so I am used to the squeeze to release. At first, with the rangefinder Nikons, I just shot them like the F2 plain but one day fiddling around transferred the release across. Well it looks ridiculous sitting up there but straight away the handling was transformed, I won't take it off now, had to buy another for the F2!!
I can see the accidental release being an issue but that depends on how you work. I tend to not carry it in a bag and haven't lost a frame.
For what they cost give it a spin, its one of those personal things, a bit like rapid rewind cranks on Leicas, love them or hate them it's personal.

Nikon S2. I had the camera and lens overhauled by DAG after I got them earlier this year. I'll be ready for the next Nikon RF month.

Started a new "project this month. Setting out to shoot with every Nikon Rf body that I have - same lens for each version. Here is the SP set, all 4 of them, and the older style Nikkor 35mmf1.8. Finished that series and I am now using black S3's and the 2005 Nikkor 35f1.8. I suspect that the project serves absolutely no purpose - jus for fun. Possibly identifying discrepancies in shutter speed between the various bodies.

Hi Jon
For sure! I'll show you how I could attach this lens to the Nikon S mount with photos, please wait for the pictures.
Before showing it, I offered Helios-103 53mm F1.8 mount parts as a sacrifice for getting this modified lens. There is a Craftman repair shop in Seoul Chungmuro where we had pork BBQ and I got the modification service from him.
This lens shows characteristic bokeh and it is very close to early stage 50mm lenses of Nikon F, check samples here!.

Nikon S's at least as functional as Leica early-M's
Nikon S's at least as functional as Leica early-M's
Hi emraphoto - I expect we'll be welcoming you to the soooo seductive world of Nikon rangefinder cameras. I didn't know they existed until someone who sold me my first M4 told me that collecting Nikon RFs was his main gig.
Functional? loading the Nikons is identical to the original Nikon F - take off the back, lay in the film, go. No fiddly "tulips" that lose their grip on the leader. Viewfinder is 1:1, totally natural, which is perfect for two-eye viewing. Focusing is with the little wheelie-dealie thing, a bit odd at first but once I got used to it I kept finding myself trying to run the "wheel" on my M4s. They are totally robust - several of my S2s left the factory in the mid-late '50s and work fine, without service, today. A CLA turns them into new cameras. My faves are the S2s, and the S3s are more "modern" (shutter dial, mainly). I'll own an SP2005 next weekend. They are that seductive. The one "down" you hear about is the RF spot, which is soft (feathered) edged. I like it because you can actually ignore it completely once you've focused - I look right through it without seeing it. The M style is razor sharp & you can do split-imaging, but it's always, well, "there". I have an S2 with a modern half-case & it's essentially silent. Get your hands on one, especially an "original" and you'll see Fifties camera craftsmanship at its peak. And... the Nikon F was patterned after the SP! Enjoy, alfredian

At the request of Jon, I post some pictures of EL Nikkor 50mm F2.8 here. Chrome mount part is from Helios-103 53mm F1.8. We are so lucky to get a cheap mount part from Russian lenses!
Also I tested this lens to compare with Millennium Nikkor-S 50mm F1.4. It is very simple test but anyone interested, please check the below link.
