As some of you know, I asked for advice if Nikon S is better that Contax IIa. Some of you recommended me S2. And here it is.
S2 with Nikkor H 2/50 along with my trusty F. Now it's time for 35mm lens
Does anybody know how to indicate year of manufacture basing on SN?

May I recommend the 105/2,5 Nikkor & the Cosina/Voigtländer lenses. Especially the 12/5,6.

Sorry to ask a newby question: got a 1.8/35mm recently and a S3 2000 for it.
Is there a way to block the frames of longer focal lengths on a S 2000?
The 35mm frame is just perfect (as on a 0.85 M, only that pushing into the eye socket for a complete view is not nevessary) and since I do not use this camera for short distances I don't miss parallax correction. The focus wheel is modern and a pleasure to use. The lens is a dream come true, but the viewfinder could be... hmm: less cluttered imo. I'm looking for help not for being flamed, it is Christmas

Ohhh man! Very nice

Unfortunately not. The S3 frame lines are etched onto the eye piece which is why all frame lines are visible at all times.

Hi, Jon! Yes this is perfect gem ever I had, amazing optics indeed.
What would be the best match from Leica of this lens at the same era?
I want to try comparison test, please recommend players from Germany.

Found one for sale in the UK, downside: £4,995 :bang:
Now, if you have deep pockets, but not so deep you just buy all three, there are two other contenders 5cm f1.1 in external £5,850 and one internal mount £5,750. And BTW who decides one is worth 1.7% more than the other?
Of course there is always the Ilford Witness on that auction site for £13,000, I could save the £10 P&P as I'm an hour away from the dealer and you do get a lens in the bundle.

Like moving the decimal point?
My usual visit is late January, if it's still in I'd love to "kick the tyres".

Park Sang In you are making me more and more curious about this lens.
And I thought I had long ago stopped spending on Nikon rf!
I wish you a great 2016.
