I feel that if one wants to get the most out of uncoated lenses, they should be shooting color. The somewhat softer colors and the tendency for the photo to take on a cast of the predominant hue are qualities to be appreciated.
Nice images. I enjoy seeing an old camera like that getting some exercise.

Great shot, Rick! I didn't know that you are into the Great War now.
Is this shot with a Leica I with a fixed Hektor? Or is it a model C with the Hektor you had already? In any case, the results are fine.
Erik.

It's a 1938 Model E, with that Hektor I had restored (and Kodak DX 5222 film)
I've been into Great War living history for a few years now. There aren't that many events in the Netherlands though. We have a West Front 1914-1918 group featuring some Doughboys and Poilus.
The photo was taken at Grave earlier this month. We had a 'bomb crater' display complete with a 'casualty' and fake barbed wire.

Do you know this Flickr-account about the Great War? I am following this one for a few years, very interesting, also photographically:https://www.flickr.com/photos/drakegoodman/
