HP5 and TriX are grainless comparing to what I was getting at Foma 400 in Rodinal 🙂
To me film comes with the grain. Nothing special about it.
But if grain has extra merit, here it is, I guess.
I was just thinking about this earlier on why I like grain and the reason i could come up with is because it gives the image some depth and dimensions.

I used to really like Agfachrome 1000 for window-light portraiture. I haven't really tried it in B&W, but the character of the grain would be an important consideration in choosing a film and developer.
