I like the images as a set Chris. The various positions of the flag against the static home raises notions of time for me...I think the whiteness of the house says a lot about us as a people, too. The details are nice also - the broken stick on the porch roof is an excellent piece of information that adds to the overall meaning of the image for me.
Fantastic Chris.

I shot this on Monday, the day after I shot the first photo of this swing. I liked the overcast light better this day. Film is Tri-X in PMK.

I shot this one this evening right before sunset. This old house sits empty with a for sale sign in the yard. It is on Lafayette Center Road, just down the street from the big GM truck factory in southwest Allen County, Indiana (A few miles outside the city of Fort Wayne).
Oh man, a dead pan straight and center color photo of that flag would look killer too.

Always cloudy in Fort Wayne?
Always cloudy in Fort Wayne?
Enjoy your photographs Chris, but must ask, "is it always cloudy in Fort Wayne" or do you gravitate the moody, cloudy days?
Cheers.

Must be where my Silverado was made. A sticker in the door says built in Indiana. As for the photogrph Chris I love how the color pops. Texture of the wood is so good. Looks so much better now than with a fresh coat of paint.![]()

Yep, that's what it was built, here in Fort Wayne's GM plant! I think all Chevy and GMC pickups are built here now.

A lot of water towers in Indiana have American flags painted on them. This one is on Lower Huntington Road, just west of Homestead Road, near the GM truck plants in southwest Allen County, Indiana.
I photographed it last Wednesday in the early evening.

This sign, which says "$50 OFF WHORES WITH AIDS," appeared in front of Sheets Heating and Plumbing on Leesburg Road in Fort Wayne on Sunday, March 24, 2013. It was gone the next day. Not such a good deal, if you ask me!
Here's a close crop of the sign, since its hard to read on the small web photo:

Wow, do you know the story behind the sign?

In my small town of 1500, the first 3 digits for our town are 432 as well. A 1 in 10,000 chance if my math serves me correctly.

I don't know. Its across the street from a college, so maybe the students got drunk Saturday night and rearranged the sign's letters? Or maybe it was a disgruntled employee or customer? Your guess is as good as mine. In any case, it was freakin HILARIOUS!

I shot this one Sunday afternoon. Its a window on the side of an abandoned farmhouse on South Anthony Extended on the southern edge of the county.

This is the vacant lot next to the house with the white fence that I posted a few days ago. I photographed it last Thursday.

This beautiful old farmhouse awaits demolition on a property being turned into a stone quarry by Crosby Excavating, a Fort Wayne based construction company. It is on South Anthony Extended, next to I-469, in the southern part of Allen County, Indiana.
I shot it Thursday evening.
